Smarter than me

There are so many people smarter than me.

Maybe I should be careful how loud I say that… I am a marketing professor, university administrator, coach, and mentor, after all.

Would you want any of that knowledge from someone who isn’t smart?

In each of those roles, over the last week, I’ve been taken to school by my daughter, by another (younger than me) administrator, a client, and a former student, respectively.

That’s okay.

I mean, the scientific method dictates that we assume our null hypothesis is wrong, right?

I’ll keep working to do my very best to serve those who need me, while accepting that there’s still so much to learn. And so many people who can help me learn it.

As Steve Jobs said, “Be the best you can be, and work to surround yourself with people who are even better.”

And as Harry Truman said, “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.”

You help me to be the best me I can be.

Thank you!

I hope I can return the favor.

What do you think?
