There’s a well-known saying that goes like this:
“Underpromise and overdeliver.”
I’m not a fan.
If you underpromise too much, you won’t even get the job or coveted project.
Rather than build low expectations, it’s better to get your boss, your client, your partner, excited about what you can create together. Realistically.
So instead, manage expectations.
Then, exceed reality.
