Practice job interviews are a great idea, no matter how much experience you have.
I’m sure you’ve heard about those killer questions mean to trip up the job-seeker.
Don’t forget the most important question:
“Do you have any questions for me?”
The answer is always…ALWAYS… “yes.”
But what follows?
Well, there are plenty of resources to tackle THAT question.
So here’s my idea… and please tell me if you’ve heard this one before.
The career services folks come up with the hardest, trickiest, cruelest, most ruthless questions that they can imagine any employer asking.
Gather up the willing job-seeking participants.
And ask them the questions. These mind-melting questions that they might actually face.
Maybe do this spelling-bee style. Or something more subjective, like figure skating judging.
A single-elimination tournament.
A big prize for the winner.
That’s my idea.
