What I learned this year III

I know it’s only February. Maybe it already feels like it’s been 2024 for a whole year.

What I mean is, when I jumped, I didn’t jump on January 1st or some calendar-contrived date of new beginnings.

It was February 8th, 2021, the day after Super Bowl. I just thought something kind of cool happened and I wanted to write about it.

I’ll remind you this Monday.

Today, however, I start year four of posting something on my blog and on social media every (work) day.

That’s right… it was three years ago today, that I decided to go ahead and jump. Jump!

So here’s what I learned this past year:

  • Some of my ideas are starting to find each other in my brain and smoosh together… or bounce off of each other. This has led to new research, teaching, and presentation ideas.
  • More friends, more new connections, and new opportunities all come from putting myself out there.
  • As I wrote last year, I don’t know if my posts are changing the world, but even now, at least once a week somebody tells me they enjoyed what I wrote. Thank you. That keeps me going.
  • And as always, writing leads to more writing and ideas lead to more ideas. I’ve got plenty of important things left to talk about.

And I’m sure you do too.

So thank you for reading this and my other posts. I promise to put together another pulsating pack of interesting items to write about this year… for us to share.

What do you think?

See you tomorrow!
