A Little Too Ironic, And Yeah I Really Do Think

Can you look at something, hear a sound, use your senses, the same senses that most people around you have available… and make new connections?

Albert Szent-Györgyi, the Hungarian biochemist was quoted as saying that “discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.”

Arthur Schopenhauer, the German philosopher observed that “the problem is not so much to see what nobody has yet seen, as to think what nobody has yet thought concerning that which everybody sees.”

Apple Computers, American multinational technology, advertised “Think Different.”

It’s kind of ironic that they’re saying almost the exact the same thing about not thinking the same thing.

Think what nobody else has thought? Make a new connection?

Use a new tool to solve an old problem, or an old tool to solve a new problem?

That’s creativity.

All three of those quotes require not just creativity, but also bravery. To think what others aren’t thinking, or maybe are thinking but aren’t brave enough to say out loud.

What are you thinking right now?

Share it out loud.

See you tomorrow.
