Worth It Thursday v2: You Have Demonstrated Your Commitment to Your Organization

We’re getting toward the end of the week and to help us make it to the weekend, I’d like to share some more reasons why you are worth whatever you are being paid (or think you should be paid) and more.

Here’s another reason why you are worth your reward (and please help me add to this list!):

You have and will continue to demonstrate commitment to  your organization.

Sure, the era of 40-years-and-a-gold-watch vanished long ago. By sticking around, you remind your higher-ups that you have something to offer, and you believe in what you’re doing. At least enough to stick around.

There’s a lot of job-hopping going on. Loyalty means something.

Now don’t be naïve. Companies don’t have a good record of being loyal. But people do.

And you’ve built those relationships. You’ve built trust. And you have acquired skills… and a network… that are definitely valuable.

You know your way around the place. You know the system. You’re ready to grow. There’s value… real monetary value… to being someone is doesn’t have to be replaced.

Take notes, my friend. If you’re giving more, you should be getting more in return.

What do you think?

See you tomorrow!

(Quick note: On the topics of mentoring and marketing, my friend Rob and I made a podcast for you! Find “Marketing vs Sales” on your favorite platform, give it a listen, and let us know what you think! We’re eight issues in and we’d love you to pull up a seat and join us.)
