Face Front! Friday! Take Off the Mask
On Tuesday, I asked a quiet but uncomfortable question:
Are you hiding?
Not because you’re weak.
Not because you don’t know what you’re capable of.
But because somewhere along the way hiding felt safer.
If Tuesday’s post stirred something in you, try this simple exercise.
Take just a moment to think and write down:
- One experience that shaped you
- One strength that came from it
- One way that strength shows up in your work today
That’s it.
You don’t need a cape. You definitely don’t want a mask.
You don’t need a perfect story.
You just need to start connecting the dots.
Because when you can name where your strength came from, you stop apologizing for it.
And when you stop defending, you stop hiding.
This is the heart of You Own Your Origin Story.
It’s about understanding how your experiences shaped your strengths. Learning how to carry your story with confidence into your work, your relationships, and your career.
If this exercise felt surprisingly hard… or just simply powerful… that means there’s more to uncover.
