Tuesday Tales: One Compass, Four Directions
Think about a moment when multiple paths were open to you, each offering possible success in a different way. Which path tempted you to move faster… but asked you to give up something important? Do you have a personal compass to help you decide?
In this story, Tony stood still, dazed, but not defeated.
Ahead of him were four paths.
Each shimmered with opportunity.
Each whispered: sooner… higher… easier… richer. But you can have only one.
Tony had to choose.
Some paths tempted him with shortcuts, but at a cost.
They demanded pieces of what he valued most: balance, integrity, time, self-trust.
Tony didn’t have a clear map of the future.
He had something stronger.
Patience.
Diligence.
A sense for when rushing would mean running in the wrong direction.
So instead of leaping, Tony listened.
He chose the path of strengthening himself. Gaining new powers as he built his existing strengths.
By committing to deeper credentials and disciplined growth, Tony began sharpening his ability to manage complexity. To lead through it, not escape it.
The path of a career in project management wasn’t the loudest path.
It wasn’t the flashiest.
But it felt true.
Sometimes the best direction means choosing the road that lets you become who you’re meant to be. One deliberate step at a time.
