Tuesday Tales: The Amazing Bouncing Man
Over my shoulder you’ll see two framed letters. The first one tells me I would not be hired by Dominican University back in 2005. The second one tells me that I’ve been promoted to Full Professor at Dominican in 2015.
The funny thing is, if they didn’t say no to me the first time, there might not have even been a next time.
Today I was among many colleagues recognized for our years of service at Dominican, including six of us who have been here for 20 years. Quite a few folks have been there longer.
Also surrounding my smiling face are indications that I can be myself at Dominican, express myself, quirks and all, share my passion for #marketing with some wonderful humans and do the work that interests me, even as it continues to evolve.
Good things happen, but not always on the first try, and not always as quickly as you’d like.
