Face Front! Friday! See What Could Be

On Tuesday I shared a story about the many uses of a plastic lid, well beyond keeping your leftover spaghetti from flying out of a plastic bowl.

Using that lid to play peek-a-boo with a one-year-old may not seem like a transferable job skill, let alone a superpower.

Unless you work at a daycare center.

Or you magically transformed a crying baby into a giggling bundle of bliss.

Ask any parent. That’s a superpower.

Making connections that others might not recognize.

The talents you have, no matter how they are used, are part of your superpower portfolio.

Having a good memory, writing clearly, your eye for detail, or your ability to keep calm amid the chaos… these are gifts that can apply to your job and… importantly… make you someone that others are glad to work with.

A skill so subtle that it’s sublime.
